The first EU-South Korea joint workshop on “New generation high-efficiency capture processes” took place in Trondheim– Norway on the 15th of June 2017.
Partners from NanoMEMC2, GRAMOFON and ROLINCAP projects, all funded by EC in the framework of Topic LCE-24-2016 “ International Cooperation with South Korea on new generation high-efficiency capture processes”, gathered together
to present their projects and to find future opportunities for collaboration. A joint newsletter between the three projects will be soon available summarizing the main decisions taken in this direction. Project Korean counterparts gave speeches focusing on their expertise in the field of Carbon Capture.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Peter Petrov (in the picture below) from the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), presented the future EU funding opportunities for projects centered on carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).
The current situation for research activities within the CCUS fields in South Korea and the future plans was instead presented by Ms. Hye Jin Lee from Korea Carbon Capture & Sequestration R&D Center.
